Now that springtime is well underway, we’re already feeling the benefit of the longer evenings and warmer weather. And you can lift your spirits even further by connecting with the vibrant local community in Plymouth, IN. Here’s our roundup of some of the best spring activities in the area.

1. Plymouth Public Pool

As the weather heats up, you’ll want to cool down. The Plymouth Public Pool opens from June 5 to August 5 and will once again give Plymouth residents the opportunity to enjoy the water in the open air. It can be found at 1500 Grand Avenue and opens from 12pm to 6pm from Monday to Saturday.

If you’re looking for a way to make treasured family memories this spring, you could fill all seven seats of your Lincoln Aviator with the kids, their friends, and their swimming gear, and bring the whole gang down to splash in the sun.

2. Classes at Plymouth Public Library

Spring is always a good time of year to learn something new, and the Plymouth Public Library has plenty of opportunities for you to celebrate the season of self-improvement with a range of arts and crafts classes. Whether you want to improve your knitting and crochet, learn new art skills with chalk, or create unique household décor, you’re bound to find a class to suit you at 201 North Center Street.

Stop by between 9am and 6pm on weekdays, or check out the website to find out more.

3. Classic Car Cruze IN

Starting this spring, the Swan Lake Resort will be giving car lovers the chance to admire some classics with the Classic Car Cruze IN, on the first Wednesday of each month. Admission is absolutely free and gives you the chance to try the available amenities at the resort, as well as entering a range of competitions. The next event will be held on June 7 at 5203 Plymouth LaPorte Trail from 5pm to 8pm.

4. Plymouth Farmers Market

Held on Saturday mornings from 7:30am to 11:30am, the Plymouth Farmers Market is open for spring. With 30 local growers represented, you’ll find the most beautiful bouquets, the freshest fruit and veg, and delicious preserves and recipes. The Farmers Market also promotes sustainable farming practices, so as well as supporting local businesses you’ll also be playing your part in helping the environment.

It can be found on the corner of Garro and Rivers Street, and runs weekly until October.

We’ve spent enough time indoors this winter, and it’s time to get out and about. Whether you’re interested in learning new skills, connecting with others, or just enjoying the fresh air, there’s bound to be something in Plymouth that tickles your interest.
